If you're not sure that the conference is worth the time, effort and budget, here's 10 reasons why you'd be insane not to join us for Fuel Good 2018 - February 7-9th in Toronto.
1. Over 50 amazing breakout sessions delivered by experts in Finance, HR/Payroll, Case Management, Fundraising, IT and our Sparkrock system:
Can you believe that some of our presenters actually got session evaluation ratings of 11/10 last year? To incent our staff to put together the best content they can, we give away an internal prize for the presenter who has the best session and every year all the ratings come in so close to 10/10 that people win by 0.01% in some cases. If that doesn't prove the caliber of the content at Fuel Good - I don't know what does! From tips & tricks, new product previews, one-on-one sessions with our product pros, industry trends and so much more, there's content for everyone on your team.
2. Inspiring Keynotes to help reinvigorate your passions and stimulate new ideas:
Last year we had Minister Tracy MacCharles and Author Sheri Chaney Jones share their experience and knowledge as our Featured Keynotes. In previous years we've seen Grantbook's Anil Patel and The Centre for Social Innovation's Director of Culture, Adil Dhalla. This year we've already got the team working hard to find the best speakers out there, and you can be sure that we'll be looking to top all the other years!
3. Thought-provoking discussions with your industry peers in our Town Hall sessions:
We introduced this new type of session last year and they had great reviews. We picked industry hot topics such as "Keeping up with the Ministry K12 Reporting" or "Attracting and Retaining Millennials" and pulled together a group of 3-4 people to talk about the topic on a panel, but then also opened up the discussion to the entire audience for half of the session. In these sessions, lots of great ideas are shared, and it's easy to make new connections with peers who are experiencing the same challenges as you. If you have an idea for a Town Hall topic, and/or would like to sit on a panel, email Melissa at email@example.com.
4. The Sparkrock Fuel Station treats:
The most popular aspect of our conference is usually our Fuel Station! You get to feel like a kid again with things like mango gummy bears, licorice, M&Ms and even some healthier options too.
5. Lots of time to network and connect with peers in the Nonprofit, K12 and Human Services industry:
Whether it's discussing hot topics in our Town Hall or sharing a drink at the Technology Mixer, we've made sure to infuse lots of time in the agenda for mingling and networking. We believe that the best people to learn from professionally are your peers, and our conference brings together forward-thinking individuals who want to continually leverage technology to improve their operations.
6. One-on-One time with our consultants:
Our super popular "20mins with a Pro" sessions give you personal time with our top consultants to ask whatever pressing questions you may have. They've got computers on hand and access to demo environments so they can give you hands-on help. Make sure you register for these sessions early - as space is limited and they go fast!
7. A chance to share your expertise with your peers:
This is your chance to position yourself (and your organization) as an industry thought-leader. We've opened up the conference to allow presenters from any organization (you don't even need to be a Sparkrock customer!) to share their best practices, a new innovative process or even present on a hot industry topic. The best part is that you also get a free pass to the conference! What a great way to share your knowledge, practice your presentation skills and give back to the industry.
8. And the award goes to....YOU:
This is our favourite part of the conference! We get to recognize all the great work Nonprofits, K12 School Boards and Human Services organizations do to make the world a better place. We have an award for Innovation, Impact and being the Fuel Good Organization of the year. Besides getting a nice crystal and certificate we also throw in $$ towards Sparkrock services. Make sure to nominate your organization today.
9. We like to Party, Party:
When it comes to throwing a great event, we'll have to admit that we are amazing at it. (Not to toot our own horn too much) We host our events in unique spaces, so you don't fall into the boredom of conference rooms. We find innovative session formats to keep you interested and most importantly - we throw the best parties! This year we're kicking off the event at our Welcome Reception at Batch Toronto. You'll get to experience a "Beer & Cheese Tasting" where a beer expert will pair local cheeses from the St.Lawrence market with some tasty microbrews, followed by Ping Pong, drinks and tasty food all night. We've also got our Technology Happy Hour at the hotel where you can mingle with our sponsors over wine and apps, followed by our Industry Networking Dinner at Jump Restaurant. It's one of the most famous restaurants in the Toronto Financial District!
10. Our new and improved conference is a lot more than just a name change:
Our hope for this conference is that it becomes the must-attend conference for everyone that works behind the scenes "fueling" good at Nonprofits, K12 School Boards and Human Services Organizations. Whether your are in accounting, payroll, HR, operations or fundraising, the work you do is what enables your organization to make the world a better place - this conference is all about giving you the skills, knowledge and inspiration to continually innovate.
Still think it's tricky to find the budget to attend?
