Jennifer Hume, Director of Finance | Louis Riel School Division

Jennifer is an innovative Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with ten years Senior Management experience at a large non-profit organization. She is a proven effective leader that inspires creative problem solving within a team. Jennifer has two years public sector experience at a management level, and over fifteen years of manufacturing experience with small and large manufacturers.

Jon Rever, Assistant Superintendent | Central Okanagan School District

Jon’s work is focused on strategic collaborations with educators that improves learning for each student. His team is deeply engaged in the creation of high value, high yield systems which result in constant improvements. Jon is working to increase coherence and alignment of his current systems such as the Instructional Leadership Team, the Instructional Leadership Network, District Assessment Policy Working Group, and the Early Learning Team.

Wanda Muirhead, CFO (Retired) | York Region District School Board

A now retired Chief Financial Officer at the York Region District School Board, Wanda led the business division, which includes Finance, Accounting, Payroll, Purchasing and Administrative Services as well as Information Technology Services. Wanda has held various positions of increasing responsibility in her 36-year career with the York Region District School Board.

John Myers, Chief Executive Officer | Edsby

John began his career at Nortel Networks including serving 6 years as the Vice-president and General Manager of Nortel’s global messaging business unit. John moved to Centrinity in 2001 and helped shepherd the FirstClass business to a successful sale to Open Text and ran that business unit there for 8 years.
In 2010 John and his co-founders left Open Text and created Edsby, an award-winning K-12 learning and data analytics platform. John serves as the CEO at Edsby.

Mark Laurie, President | ApplyToEducation

Mark co-founded ApplyToEducation with his brother Nathan. Their vision is to build a company that makes a difference in K-12 education for both students and administrators. Their theory was that if every teacher knew of every job then the quality of applicants would improve, and hard to fill positions would become routine hires. After eight years, they know they were correct in that assumption: 65% of Canadian School Districts and 280+ private schools in 27 countries around the world now use their technology.

Simon Blyth, Director of Sales, Education | Fujitsu Consulting (Canada)

Simon is an experienced business professional with a strong track record in sales, business development, strategy, planning, operations and financing. Simon has had a career of over 20 years, in senior sales and leadership roles ranging from small start-ups to large multinationals. He is a team player who breaks down barriers, creates win:win situations and builds long-term relationships with all business stakeholders – colleagues, customers, partners and investors.

Nancy Teodoro, Education Partner Lead | Microsoft Canada

As Education Partner Lead for Microsoft Canada, Nancy leads the Partner Sales and Solution Strategy to help educational organizations across Canada digitally transform and maximize student success. With more than 20 years of experience in the IT Industry, she is passionate about transforming education and developed the world’s first Master’s Certificate program in the discipline of alliance management in 2008.
