It seems crazy to already be talking about Fuel Good 2020 when the 2019 conference was only a few short months ago, but we’re so excited about what’s in store, we just can’t wait! Fuel Good is Sparkrock’s annual customer conference that started out as a lunch in 2004 and has grown into a multi-day event that brings together over 130 individuals for inspired learning and networking. We continue to try and improve the conference year after year to offer our customers the best experience possible. That’s why we're making some pretty exciting changes to Fuel Good 2020 – keep reading to learn more about what’s in store for this year’s conference!
CHANGE #1: SHORTENING THE CONFERENCE
You might be wondering, how does shortening the conference benefit me? Doesn’t that mean there will be less breakout sessions and less opportunities to network with my peers? It’s quite the opposite! We’ve managed to rework the conference schedule from three days to two, while still maintaining over 30 breakout sessions, 2 keynote presentations, and everyone’s favourite networking events. Pre-conference training will still take place on the morning of day one, but instead of kicking off the main conference on day two, we’ll be starting in the afternoon of day one. Day two will be full of breakout sessions, keynotes, and customer awards – we’ll just wrap up at the end of the day instead of halfway through day three.
The reason for making this change is that we know it can be difficult and expensive for our customers outside of Toronto to travel in for over three days. The conference experience is so much better when all Sparkrock customers are present, and that means accommodating the many outside of the city – which we’re happy to do.
CHANGE #2: INCLUDING THE INDUSTRY NETWORKING DINNER
We heard you – the industry networking dinner should be included in with a full conference pass. So that’s exactly what we did. This year you won’t have to purchase a separate ticket to be able to attend everyone’s favourite networking event of the conference, you get access to the dinner with a full conference pass. This is just another way we are trying to insert as much value into Fuel Good as possible. The industry networking dinner allows you to get out of the hotel for an evening and dine at one of the many incredible restaurants in downtown Toronto. You’ll be able to enjoy a three-course meal and engage in conversation with fellow Sparkrock customers and solution experts. Stay tuned for when we announce which restaurants we’ll be hosting the dinners at this year!
CHANGE #3: EXTRA LONG SESSIONS
Year after year, the team at Sparkrock works hard to create breakout sessions that cover topics that will give you a better understanding of the Sparkrock solution or address the most relevant issues in your sector. Over the course of an hour we try to include as much information as possible, but for some sessions, this simply isn’t enough time. That’s why for the 2020 conference we’re introducing sessions that will run for an hour and a half for topics that you’ll want to really dig into and need the extra time to do so. By making this change, you’ll not only have the opportunity to learn in-depth knowledge during pre-conference training, but also during the main conference.

Although we feel these changes will improve the conference immensely, we really can’t take credit for Fuel Good’s success. Every year our amazing customers travel from all over the country to come together, share ideas, and learn from each other.
